DBMaestro Announces Availability of TeamWork Version 2.6

DBMaestro Announces the Availability of TeamWork Release 2.6, it’s Database Change Tracking Solution for Oracle Enhances Integration with MS-VSTS and IBM RTC

TEL AVIV – February 23, 2010 — DBMaestro Ltd. today announced the general availability of TeamWork Version 2.6. This new version includes enhanced third-party product integrations. A new DBMaestro TeamWork Add-in for Visual Studio has been launched. Working on databases from within visual studio is now significantly easier than before. A new panel has been added to Visual Studio, enabling users to perform all change management activities, such as check in & out, view history, or rollback of database objects. The Add-in for Visual Studio 2010 will be released soon after Microsoft announces general availability.

“This is an important release for us, mainly because we have been able to significantly enhance the TeamWork integration with two leading SCM solutions – IBM’s Rational Team Concert and Microsoft’s Visual Studio Team System 2008 Team Foundation Server (TFS).” Said Yaniv Yehuda, CTO and Founder of DBMaestro. “TeamWork now supports queries for selecting work items and updating work item’s status changes when performing TeamWork check-in. TeamWork check-in comments are added to the linked Microsoft TFS work items history. As a result of this tight linkage between the solutions, work process seamlessly flows between code and database development, leveraging project deliverables and assuring flawless end-to-end project change management.”

TeamWork Version 2.6 includes an enhanced internal references mechanism that achieves a zero footprint at the database-managed schema. All information and policy enforcement mechanism parts are now located inside DBMaestro’s own schema, invisible to the development and deployment cycles. A command line interface, enabling batch check-in/check-out, save version/deployment operations to be automated with a scripting interface has also been added.

DBMaestro is an experienced enterprise software development company that focuses on database development technologies. Its flagship product, dbMeastro TeamWork, brings true database change management and database version control to the SCM world.
